The Loch Ness Monster
does exist, I saw it when I
came home from the pub
one night........
I was offered a job to fit a kitchen for an architect I know, at his weekend / retirement cottage. He said it would mean stopping there as it was quite a distance away.
Yep, no problem, where is it?
Loch Ness.....
Is that the Loch Ness in Scotland? (Bearing in mind it's about five or six hundred miles away from London)
Yes, that's the one....
Anyway, I was given a rented Transit van, and set off at 6 o'clock in the morning with a few bits and pieces on board, drove up to Yorkshire, had a meet to collect some more kitchen units and got there Sunday evening at the little village of Whitebridge (half a dozen houses and a pub) on the south side of Loch Ness.
Remote is not the word, there's remote and remote, this house was in the middle of nowhere at the bottom of a mountain, on a good day you could just about see another house in the distance.
Well, the job went ok, no problems, but on the water to the kitchen sink I had to to fit two water filters, normally there's one to filter out the normal nasties, but on this sink there was an extra one to filter out sheep shit, as the sheep crap up on the mountain and it makes its way down into the water supply.
(Google, 'Sheep shit filter')
I left early on the next Sunday morning to come back home. Driving back was a bit eerie, driving back you had to avoid the sheep asleep in the road!
As you drove down into a dip you went into the mist and as you came out you'd come across small Lochs which looked liked mirrors.
